Members of farming families pictured as they left for Centerville to board the evacuation bus.
These women worked at so-called "stoop labor," chiefly cultivating tomatoes. Farmers and other evacuees of Japanese ancestry were given opportunities to follow their callings at War Relocation Authority centers.
